Jaxport receives funds for new cranes
Florida legislators have granted Jaxport USD 30 million for the purchase of two new container cranes at the Blount Island marine terminal. House speaker Paul Renner and senate president Kathleen Passidomo, along with the Duval legislative delegation, led the funding allocation during the legislative session.
The new cranes will enhance cargo handling capabilities, increasing Jaxport's efficiency and capacity. The investment aligns with the port’s role as a major economic engine, supporting jobs and ensuring a robust supply chain. Jaxport is Florida's largest container port and significantly contributes to the state's economy. (pb)
