ITA Airways takes a step towards Germany
Italy’s new national carrier ITA Airways, which serves an extensive domestic and international network via its two hubs Rome Fiumicino and Milan Linate, is joining the Board of Airline Representatives in Germany (Barig).
Rodney Cali, country manager Germany: "Germany is a strategic market for ITA Airways, and we are proud to be a member of Barig. To ensure connectivity between Germany and Italy, ITA Airways offers 94 weekly flights from Frankfurt, Munich, Stuttgart, and Duesseldorf to its two hubs in Italy, as well as further connections to the whole Italian network and to major international destinations."
This news arrives only a few days after Lufthansa Group and Italy's treasury have signed a LOI regarding selling a minority stake in ITA Airways, initially 40% - more in the Italy special of ITJ 05-08/2023, out last Friday, 3 February 2023! (ah)
