Istanbul for AI innovation
Forto has launched a new technology hub at Istanbul’s Technical University, expanding its services to the Turkish market. The digital freight forwarder’s new office opened on 16 April, initially with 20 software engineers in its team, with more staff to follow as the business grows.
Focusing on technological innovation, the company will base its services on AI and tech ecosystems to create logistics and supply chain solutions. Specifically, the site’s team will tackle workflow automation, predictive cargo management and allocation systems.
“Our decision to expand our technology team in Istanbul highlights our belief in the engineering and technological talent nurtured in Turkey and the potential of this talent,” says Kamil Buğra Rodoper, Forto’s chief product officer. (mk)
