IRU has announced the appointment of Raluca Marian, currently senior advisor on passenger transport in its Brussels office, to the position of general delegate of the IRU permanent delegation to the EU.
Matthias Maedge, the current EU general delegate, will take up the position of advocacy director, leading IRU’s advocacy work worldwide from the Geneva headquarters in Switzerland.
“I am delighted that Marian and Maedge will team up to drive our advocacy objectives in the EU and worldwide. I look forward to boosting our prosperity, people and environmental goals together,” said Umberto de Pretto, IRU’s secretary general.
