Irish haulier buys model trucks
Manfreight has added ten new Volvo FH trucks to its 200-strong fleet. With these vehicles, the haulier becomes the first operator in Northern Ireland to put the latest Volvo model of FH on the road. The ten tractor units feature updated styling, enhanced fuel-saving features and a driver-focused interior incorporating a fully-digital 12-inch high-resolution instrument display.
The forwarder will use the new trucks to make just-in-time deliveries to its broad base of retail customers in UK and Ireland.
The new model is around 3% more fuel-efficient than the previous FH with I-Save, Volvo said. Manfreight is one of Ireland’s largest privately owned logistics companies. It operates from its headquarters in Craigavon and strategically located sites in UK and Ireland. (ben)
