IRclass inaugurates branch in Doha
The Indian Register of Shipping (IRClass), a classification society, has opened a new affiliate at the Qatar financial centre (QFC) in Doha. The Middle East is one of IRClass’ important strategic markets outside of India.
Via the new branch office, the classification society, which runs 52 offices worldwide and is recognised by 44 major flag administrations, including the state of Qatar, is extending its services to the marine, ports and terminals, industrial, oil and gas and offshore companies based in Qatar.
Commemorating the opening of the office, a reception was held at the Sheraton Grand Doha Hotel, which was attended by a number of senior delegates from the Indian embassy, the Qatar financial centre, the ministry of transport and communications and other ministries, port authorities, terminals, shipowners, ship managers, media, insurance and logistic companies.
