IRClass expands activities in Middle East
The Indian Register of Shipping (IRClass), a classification company, is expanding its activities. In a bid to further strengthen its footprint in the Middle East, IRClass has received authorisation as a RO from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Furthermore, the company has also received authorisation as RO from the Kingdom of Bahrain’s port and maritime authority.
With these two recognitions in the region, IRClass is now recognised by 41 flags worldwide. The company recently set up an office in Dammam (Saudi Arabia), to expand its reach and serve the region better. The classification society is currently also pursuing approval from that country.
To increase visibility, IRClass has signed a service agency agreement with Beirut-based XO Class at a recent event at the Lebanon Chamber of Commerce. (kd)
