Iquique expects delivery of very large equipment

Iquique Terminal Internacional (ITI) in Chile will soon receive a Konecranes Gottwald ESP.10, the largest mobile harbor crane in Konecranes’ portfolio.

The crane, equipped with a 10 m tower extension and an elevator to the tower cab, is designed to serve super-post-panamax vessels, handling container stacks up to nine levels high and 22 units wide. It will be delivered with twin-lift spreaders and motor grabs for bulk cargo. Performance data will be monitored via the ‘Truconnect’ expert module and visualised on the ‘Your Konecranes’ portal.

ITI, part of Saam Terminals, has thus strengthened its fleet with this latest investment, expanding its operational capabilities to better connect Chilean trade to global markets. Delivery is planned for April 2025. (ah)
