Investing in Kumamoto
ESR Group and the Kumamoto prefectural government in Japan have signed an mou with the aim of transforming Yatsushiro City into a key logistics location for the region.
Under the agreement, the group will work with the prefecture, the city as well as Mercury Capital to support investment into the local infrastructure. By establishing a local network and leveraging its customer bases, ESR can bring more business to Yatsushiro.
The booming e-commerce, third-party logistics, and advanced manufacturing industries are propelling demand for more modern logistics facilities in the area. The city is also close to the semiconductor companies on Kyushu Island.
