Intermodal service from Italy to France
Den Hartogh has commissioned Metrocargo Italia to ship its tank containers between Northern Italy (Mortara, Pavia) and Southern France (Miramas, Marseille) by rail.
The service has already started and uses the railway traction provided by the railway company Fuori Muro Impresa Ferroviaria, in which Metrocargo Italia holds a 28.6% stake.
Multimodal operator Metrocargo Italia has been offering punctual, reliable and flexible “door-to-door” services between Italy and France since 2012. It also runs the only intermodal service between Italy and France through Ventimiglia.
Den Hartogh, based in the Netherlands, is a family-owned logistics service provider for the chemical, gas, polymer and food industries. (ben)
