Intermodal Gdansk service expanded
Metrans, HHLA’s intermodal affiliate, has introduced a new connection from/to the Polish Port of Gdynia - by truck.
The rail service from/to the Port of Gdansk was launched in September 2022 and runs three times a week according to a precisely defined schedule. It supports not only deep sea, but also short sea and continental combined transport.
Metran’s Gdansk service also has direct access to the Navis port system, which ensures rapid customs clearance and release of the container for subsequent rail transport. Metrans plans to further develop the service soon. (ben)
