InterManager elects new president

The recent annual general meeting in London of InterManager, an international association for the ship management sector, elected Sebastian von Hardenberg, CEO of Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM), as its new president.

Von Hardenberg is a seasoned negotiator who played a key role as vice-president in InterManager’s discussions with the EU on ‘EU-ETS’ and ‘FuelEU’. He succeeded Columbia Group CEO Mark O’Neil, who pioneered InterManager’s general principles of conduct and action.

Von Hardenberg said that he’s “honoured to lead InterManager and set to work proactively to strengthen partnerships and address industry challenges.” Raal Harris, the Ocean Technologies Group’s chief creative officer, was elected InterManager vice-president. The association represents more than 5,000 ships and 250,000 seafarers worldwide. (ah)
