Increasing demand and investment
German trailer manufacturer Kögel has begun 2021 with a strong tailwind, with incoming orders from January to March totalling 6,978 vehicles. This is 137% more than in the same period of the previous year. With 4,088 units, demand for new vehicles in Q1/ 2021 was particularly strong in Eastern Europe.
Kögel aims to sell a total of 19,500 units in 2021. There are no signs of a slowdown in demand. The company is therefore planning to invest millions at its German site in Burtenbach.
The money will be used to expand the administration building, SKD production and the dispatch centre, where trailer kits are manufactured and packaged for European markets. (ben)
