In Linz for a second time
This week, Linz became the only airport in Austria to handle the world's largest aircraft for the second time. "Due to the ideal landing conditions and the infrastructural requirements," the airport says, the AN-225 was already a guest in Linz in 2003.
Managing director Norbert Draskovits: "Our customers greatly appreciate the flexibility and high level of service quality of our air cargo department. We are all the more pleased that this unique aircraft has come back into service here."
The six-engine giant was commissioned by Balmung Medical, an owner-operated company that has become one of the most successful companies in the Tyrol in the medical and healthcare products sector since it was founded in 2004. Its inventory management system carries more than 600,000 items. (ah)
