In-depot charging stations for e-trucks
Now that electric trucks have a sufficient driving range to handle urban and regional deliveries, Total Energies, based in France, has developed an in-depot charging service comprising the installation and supervision of charge points.
In an end-to-end approach, the company will work with customers to determine the size of the charging infrastructure required for their fleets. To meet transporters' needs for recharging facilities outside their depots, Total Energies will also install charge points along Europe's road corridors starting in 2024.
These will include high power charge points during mandatory breaks on long trips and slow charge points at rest areas to refuel the trucks overnight, the energy provider said. (ben)
