Improving logistics in Iraq
In a new joint venture in Iraq, Aramex is working with ZK Holding to provide enhanced domestic and international courier, forwarding and logistic s services. Though ZK Holding is based in Abu Dhabi, it has access to over 7,000 points of sale in Iraq. Combined with Aramex’s existing network in the county, this will enable the partnership to facilitate logistics services in 15 different cities.
With Iraq’s e-commerce market set to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 11% in the next five years, the companies are looking to benefit from a rising demand for trading solutions from both corporate and retail customers in the region and beyond.
Aramex and ZK Holding plan to start their project in Q1/2025, using previous market experience in the Middle East to build up improved logistics infrastructure for Iraq. (mk)
