Improving intermodal links to Turkey and Greece
Kombiverkehr in Germany has augmented its services to and from Turkey and Greece, adding a fourth departure per week and direction between Cologne (Germany) and the Port of Trieste (Italy).
Containers and semi-trailers with full profile P400 can be transported to Northern Italy and then, if required, shipped by ferry to Patras in Greece as well as Pendik, Cesme and Mersin in Turkey with only one booking, the intermodal operator said. Depending on the port of destination, transit time is four to six days.
Kombiverkehr has also raised the frequency on its Rostock (Germany) - Verona (Italy) Interterminal route. The trains run now seven times per week and direction. (ben)
