Imbleau to take the helm from Vachon
The Montreal Port Authority (MPA), the commercial gateway to Eastern Canada, has appointed Martin Imbleau to the position of president and CEO.
A lawyer by training, he brings hands-on experience in the utilities sector serving communities. Imbleau has held management and vice-presidential positions for close to twenty years at Energir, and since last April was VP - corporate strategies and business development at Hydro-Québec. He will succeed Sylvie Vachon, who is retiring on 31 December after 30 years with the MPA, including eleven as CEO.
Marie-Claude Boisvert, chair of the MPA board of directors: "Under her stewardship, the Port of Montreal achieved unprecedented growth, notably by successfully completing its many projects, diversifying its markets and strengthening its international trade ties." (amh)
