Ihro builds new facility and upgrades vehicle fleet
At its headquarters in Neuenstein (Baden Württemberg, Germany), the forwarding group Ihro is building a new facility combining a truck workshop, offices, and recreation rooms.
In contrast to other forwarders, Ihro continues to rely on its own drivers and a large fleet of company-owned vehicles. Around EUR 4.5 million will be invested into the project and a further EUR 2.5 million into expanding and upgrading the vehicle fleet.
This year the forwarder has already received 20 Actros trucks from Mercedes-Benz that are equipped with radar-based turning assistants. With these new purchases, the vehicle fleet will grow to more than 200 tractors and 300 trailers this year. (mw)
