ICS wins new education partner in India
The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) has appointed Sea & Beyond as its first recognised partner in India, further strengthening its commitment to professional maritime education in the region.
Sea & Beyond, which is based in Mumbai, supports seafarers transitioning into shore-based commercial roles and will now offer guidance in line with the ICS’s qualification framework.
“Having a dedicated partner in India, where demand for qualified maritime professionals is growing, will help us reach and support more students,” said Krishnan Subramaniam (on the left), ICS vice-chair. Captain Gaurav Rana (centre), founder of Sea & Beyond, added that “this partnership will empower Indian maritime talent with vital commercial skills to succeed globally.”
The ICS now collaborates with recognised partners in more than ten countries, including South Korea, Turkey, the UAE and the USA. (ah)
