Iata: five hackathon winners
Iata hackathons are around-the-clock events. They bring together teams of developers and designers to create innovative solutions to address an industry challenge. Solutions are presented to a jury, and the winners have the opportunity to share and communicate them to the industry.
The most recent Iata One Record hackathon took place last weekend at Lufthansa in Seeheim, Germany. Several participants won diverse prizes sponsored by Lufthansa Cargo and Cargo IQ.
Among five other winners, Carboncare and its partner Riege won the Lufthansa Prize for Sustainability with their solution "Carbulator", a reliable and pluggable engine to enhance One Record booking option data with calculated CO2 emissions and CO2 compensation costs. (cj)
