Iata elects Qatar Airways' group CEO


The International Air Transport Association (Iata) has elected Qatar Airways group chief executive officer Badr Mohammed Al-Meer to its board of governors. Iata represents some 320 airlines or 83% of total air traffic. Al-Meer has also joined the executive committee of the Arab Air Carriers’ Organisation (Aaco), which represents 34 Arab airlines.

 

Al-Meer became GCEO of Qatar Airways on 5 November 2023 following more than ten years as the chief operating officer of Hamad International Airport, where he led major milestone projects. (cj)
