IAG opens second new route to Caribbean today
On 26 March 2023, IAG Cargo, the cargo division of International Airlines Group (IAG), will launch a new route to Aruba (Oranjestad) via Antigua, to be followed by the start of a new service to Guyana (Georgetown) via St Lucia on 27 March 2023.
Both flights will be available twice a week with a British Airways Boeing 777-200 widebody aircraft. The service will be used to export perishables, local produce, and oil equipment among other commodities.
IAG Cargo continues to expand its Americas capacity with over 250 weekly services between European and Latin American airports. From 26 March 2023, the carrier will also offer a direct three-times-weekly service between London and Trinidad, which was previously reached via St Lucia. (cj)
