IAG Cargo: Guayaquil and key Latam routes
IAG Cargo has started the Madrid-Guayaquil route, increased frequency to São Paulo and Mexico City, and plans to restart regular flights to San Juan, Puerto Rico. The business which includes assets from British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, Vueling and Level now services over 150 flights a week between Europe and Latin America.
Rodrigo Casal, regional commercial manager for Latin America: "These extra services represent a unique opportunity for business in the region and we are excited to support the perishable industry further and offering more capacity for the automotive sector."
The new route to Ecuador's most populous city was launched last month and includes three weekly A330-200 flights. This direct service is an important business trade link for the perishables sector, with the Netherlands and Spain important export markets for key export goods like flowers. (ah)
