IAG Cargo boosted volumes in 2024

IAG Cargo reported EUR 1.234 billion in revenues for 2024, marking a 6.7% increase year-on-year. Cargo volumes, measured in cargo tonne kilometres (ctk), grew by 12.6%, whilst Q4 revenues surged by 25.5% to EUR 364 million.

The company also enhanced its efficiency and digital transformation last year, launching a market-based pricing system, a new revenue management tool and expanding temperature-controlled capacity at Madrid’s perishables facility (pictured) by 45%. A new operations control centre at London Heathrow further improved precision and planning. Premium products, including ‘Constant Climate’ for pharmaceuticals and ‘Prioritise’ and ‘Critical’ for express services saw strong demand.

CEO David Shepherd emphasised the company’s focus on tech investments, digital infrastructure and new capacity opportunities to drive long-term growth and its global reach. (ah)
