Hydrollino brings more eco-transports
The Swiss forwarder Schöni, which is based in Rothrist, canton Aargau, has put its first hydrogen truck into operation. Effective immediately, the eco-friendly Hyundai truck will deliver beverages nationwide for Rivella, which is headquartered in the same town.
For the two family-run companies, the investment into the hydrogen vehicle is another important step to reduce CO2 emissions. Schöni's goal is to be the first Swiss carrier to provide climate-neutral deliveries for all its cargo by the end of 2023.
At a recent small ceremony, the new Hyundai hydrogen fuel-cell truck was baptised 'Hydrollino'. With the first H2 truck, Schöni’s fleet includes exclusively low-emission Euro 6 vehicles, 25 of which are LNG trucks. (ben)
