Hungarian haulier expands fleet with e-vehicles
Waberer’s is the first company in Central and Eastern Europe to have received a series-produced, purely electric DAF truck. The CF tractor unit can cover up to 500 km a day and was developed in response to the rising demand for lower CO2 emissions.
This innovation is a key step towards zero-emission medium-distance distribution in freight transport, Waberer’s said. More and more European cities are announcing that carriers will only be able to enter cities with zero-emission vehicles in the future, which is another important reason why the Hungarian logistic group has decided to buy alternative powertrain trucks. In 2022, Waberer’s plans to replace 1,700 trucks in its 2,500-vehicle large fleet. (ben)
