Huge drone delivery perspectives in North America
Analysts predict a big future for unmanned delivery systems as the US Federal Aviation Administration is about to award its first drone operator's licence - probably to the Alphabet (Google) subsidiary Wing Aviation. The latter recently received approval to make commercial drone deliveries in Australia.
In a recent report, The Insight Partners said that the North America drone logistics & transport market accounted for USD 10.4 million in 2018, and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 55.67% between 2019 and 2027, and account for USD 525.35 million in 2027.
On the basis of drone type, the freight drone segment is leading the drone logistics & transport market, driven by increasing developments in the e-commerce sector and rising acceptance due to various benefits offered. (ah)
