Hoyer continues to improve climate performance
As part of the internal corporate target to reduce CO2 emissions by 25% per tonne-kilometre, the German Hoyer Group achieved a 4% reduction of pollutant emissions in 2018 compared with 2017. This represents an improvement of more than 20% within scarcely a decade and puts Hoyer well on the way to achieving the environmental targets it has set.
The improved environmental performance was achieved due to several factors, one of which was to move the maximum possible volume of goods by intermodal transport, using the company’s fleet of over 40,000 tank containers. Hoyer has constantly invested in a greener fleet and is also trialling the use of LNG and CNG trucks. (ben)
