Honold and Premium Aerotec working together
Honold Logistik and the aviation supplier Premium Aerotec have opened a new materials management centre in Augsburg (Germany). The platform is both a digitally controlled material warehouse and a hub for all deliveries to/from the four Premium Aerotec parts factories in Augsburg.
Heiner-Matthias Honold, managing director of the Honold Logistik group, pointed out: "The new facility gives us a 17,400 sqm transhipment site for handling the around 1,000 deliveries and 2,000 shipping orders per day.”
The new logistics centre is equipped with one of Europe’s most efficient automated small parts warehouse. The storage system provides about 180,000 storage slots. (mw)
