Heppner: rapid growth and record turnover
Two years before the company's 100th anniversary, the French family business hit the billion target in turnover for the first time. The billion is an important milestone, Heppner says.
Between 2018 and 2022, the specialist in international goods transports to and from France grew by an average of 9% a year, from EUR 715 million to 1.029 billion. Two-thirds of the development is due to external growth and one-third to organic growth.
In just five years, Heppner has increased its presence from two to nine countries, while also strengthening its expertise in the field of dangerous goods, the Alsace-based company says.
Since its founding in 1925, Heppner has steadily expanded its international footprint through acquisitions and the creation of subsidiaries in the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Hungary, and Switzerland.
In addition, new areas of expertise were developed with the acquisition of Safram 2022, a specialist in pharmaceutical and hazardous goods transport. Heppner has also been operating a branch in Senegal since 2019. (ben)
