Heppner expands to Senegal
Heppner has opened a branch in Dakar, Senegal. As the group’s first location in Africa, Heppner Senegal represents a strategic gateway for the flow of logistics traffic in the surrounding region, to which Mail, Guinea and Guinea-Bissau belong. With its presence in Senegal, Heppner intends to expand its area of activity and its range of transport and logistics services.
Currently, the region’s economy is experiencing a strong upswing thanks to the creation of many projects for the extraction of raw materials and the increasing demand of a rising middle class for consumer goods and retail concepts. Shippers require integrated supply chain offerings that include air freight and sea freight, customs clearance, warehousing and distribution.
“We want to double our workforce by the end of 2020. Due to our understanding of the local operative conditions and our quality and experience in international trade, we are in an ideal position to participate in the country’s development projects,” says Pascal Bonnet, director of Heppner Senegal.
