Hellmann takes over all of HPL Apollo
Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has bought all the shares of HPL Apollo, its joint venture with Mercury Aviation, after twelve years of collaboration. Mercury specialises in transporting perishables by air, sea and road. By integrating the organisation Hellmann can “expand its global footprint in the perishables market and enhance its capacities.”
In the course of the integration HPL Apollo will focus on expanding in the US market. It already operates from Miami, Los Angeles, Honolulu and San Francisco. Furthermore, Hellmann wants to enter markets in Colombia, Ecuador and Central America in the coming years.
According to Hellmann Worldwide Logistics CEO Jens Drewes his firm is “committed to expanding internationally, with North America a key focus in our strategy.” (js)
