Hellmann and Rhenus split up
Rhenus Freight Logistics and Hellmann Worldwide have ended their cooperation in the eastern part of Germany. After having acquired 50% of Rhenus' joint venture shares with retroactive effect from 1 January 2021, Hellmann has become the sole shareholder of the road and contract logistics company with locations in Großschirma, Zwickau and Leipzig.
Thilo Streck, managing director of Rhenus Freight Logistics, spoke of a strategic focus "in Germany on the Rhine/Ruhr and Rhine/Main areas and the metropolitan regions around Munich, Nuremberg and Stuttgart." (sh)
