Heinrich Grieshaber dies
After a brief and serious illness, Heinrich Grieshaber passed away on 29 March 2020 in the clinic Friedrichshafen (Germany). He was 71 years old. As founder and former chairman of the management board, he most recently served Grieshaber Logistik as chairman of the supervisory board.
Grieshaber started his career by training as an auto mechanic. Then he studied mechanical engineering with an additional focus on business administration in Constance, Germany. He joined his parents' transport company in 1971 and just a year later - at 24 years of age - he took charge of the branch in Weingarten, which is now the company's headquarters in Baden-Wuerttemberg.
Intuitively, Grieshaber recognised the potential of integrated logistics solutions and thus played a substantial role in paving the way for the company's further development. Under his management, Grieshaber Logistik built up a global network and became internationally successful.
In autumn 2018, Grieshaber handed over the responsibility for operational management to managing directors Roland Futterer, Gregor Schnell and Alexander Tesch. (mw)
