Health and safety award for APC
APC, a UK-based parcel delivery network, has won a Gold Rospa award for its focus on health and safety in its premises. Every year the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (Rospa) recognises companies for their efforts to ensure a safe environment for their employees at work. With almost 2,000 entries annually, it is one of the major health and safety awards worldwide.
This year, the APC network was honoured for its safety courses for its staff as well as its investments in a training academy. These operational enhancements have collectively resulted in a 51% reduction of accidents in the firm.
"Workplace accidents don't just pose financial risks and operational disruptions; they significantly impact the quality of life for individuals. This is why acknowledging and rewarding excellent safety performance is vital,” says Julia Small, Rospa’s achievements director. (mk)
