Haulier praises Durite camera systems
S&G Transport has equipped its London-bound fleet with Durite camera systems to meet the UK capital’s new ‘Progressive Safe System’ regulations (PSS) for HGVs over 12 t.
The Devon-based haulier, which holds Fors ‘Silver’ status, upgraded its vehicles using Durite’s plug-and-play solution, “enabling fleet operators to fit the technology themselves,” as Durite states in a media release.
According to S&G director Stefan Maunder, drivers report easier blindside manoeuvring and increased visibility, particularly on sites. In addition to improving safety and compliance Durite reports the system helps reduce collisions and may lower insurance costs. PSS compliance is mandatory in Greater London from May 2025 onwards.
