Haulier increases vehicle fleet to 82 units
Armstrong Logistics in UK has taken delivery of ten new Volvo FM 420 Globetrotter 4x2 tractors, thus expanding vehicle fleet to 82 units.
Armstrong Logistics’ new trucks will be primarily used to deliver to supermarkets in UK, clocking up an expected annual mileage of 200,000 km in the process. The new trucks are each powered by a Euro-VI compliant D13K Step E engine, producing 420 hp and a peak torque of 2,100 Nm.
They are driven by the automated 12-speed I-Shift transmission, which constantly evaluates information about speed, weight, road grade and torque demand to enable precisely timed gearshifts. (ben)
