Happy Valentine's Day for Latam Cargo
Latam Cargo carried over 15,500 t of fresh flowers from Colombia and Ecuador during the 2022 Valentine’s Day season, 16% more than in 2021. To achieve this result, the carrier doubled its regular offer to face the high demand created between 17 January and 6 February.
Over 260 flights for fresh flowers took off from Bogota, Medellin and Quito. In Colombia, the offer doubled from 28 to 56 frequencies during the peak season, totalling 9,200 t of flowers, mostly roses, carnations and chrysanthemums, destined for Miami (photo), from where they were distributed across North America.
In Ecuador, Latam Cargo almost tripled its offer, moving to 33 during the season. This increase allowed the carrier to deliver more than 6,340 t of flowers, notably roses and mini roses, to Miami and Amsterdam. (ah)
