Hanoi-Europe train launched
The new service, introduced by Yusen Logistics, is one of the few solutions that uses rail connections between Asean member countries and Europe.
Shipments are transported from Hanoi, Vietnam to Chongqing, China by freight trains and transferred to the China-Europe railway express, which connects China and Europe. Then the cargoes are distributed to destinations throughout Europe.
The Japanese logistician arranges cargo collection, vanning operation, import/export customs clearance, and final mile delivery. Prior to the launch of the new rail service, Yusen Logistics arranged trial shipments to Germany. The new solutions will help to compensate for the ocean freight disruptions on supply chains between Asia and Europe, the transport specialist said. (ben)
