Hanjin extends European reach

The Korean conglomerate Hanjin Logistics plans to expand its European network with seven new branches by 2027 and thus strengthen its share in regional markets.

Currently, Hanjin Group’s logistics unit operates a subsidiary in Czechia as well as four branches in Germany, Austria, Poland, and Norway. Its aim is to add to the portfolio by opening up a branch in Hungary this year, with six further ones following until 2027. These additions will bolster the company’s presence in France, Britain, and Italy.

With an extended network in Europe, Hanjin can then strive to increase trucking deals for incoming air cargo from South Korea. It also hopes to receive orders from Korean firms operating in Europe. (mk)
