Handing over the baton at Finnlines
Finnlines plc’s board of directors has appointed COO Thomas Doepel, who is also its vice-president and deputy CEO, as the shipping line’s new president and CEO from 1 March 2025. Tom Pippingsköld had previously informed the board that he’ll retire, and it has been agreed that he will continue in his position as president and CEO until 28 February.
“The Finnlines board thanks Tom Pippingsköld for his dedication, prudent management and good performance since 2013, when he joined the company. The board warmly welcomes Thomas Doepel as new president and CEO. Thomas Doepel has held important management positions at Finnlines since 2010, when he joined the company,” Emanuele Grimaldi, chairman of the Finnlines board, stated. (cj)
