Handing over the baton at Federagenti
Paolo Pessina, the outgoing president of the Genoa maritime agents' association, has been elected president of Federagenti, the national federation of maritime agents and recommenders. He will initially flank Alessandro Santi, who will finish his mandate on 25 October and formally pass the baton to Pessina.
President Santi: "At its meeting in Rome, the Federagenti assembly unanimously decided in an absolutely cohesive manner that the new president will be Paolo Pessina. With great satisfaction we have demonstrated once again Federagenti’s unique compactness and effective vision.”
Pessina, who has a degree in economics and commerce, brings many years of experience in the port and intermodal traffic sector. Trained in Angelo Ravano's Contship Group, he has developed specific skills over the years in the ship-port relationship. (cj)
