Hamburg Süd sells entity

Hamburg Süd is continuing to focus its business on its container transport and logistics activities, in line with the Maersk’s policy. Thus the London-based ATPI Group, which offers corporate travel management services, has now taken over the line’s travel agency subsidiary called Hamburg Süd Reiseagentur.

The agreement has been inked, but the purchase price wasn’t disclosed. The travel agency’s management and its more than 50 employees will be retained by new owner ATPI. The firm specialises in the marine business, that is the booking of flights and connecting transport for crews who need to board their ships or return home from ports. (cd)
