Hahn airport sees cargo growth under Triwo ownership
Hahn airport (HHN) , located in southwestern Germany, handled around 22,000 t of airfreight in the first quarter of 2025 – up by 8% year-on-year.
“This was a good start to 2025,” said Rüdiger Franke, managing director of Triwo Hahn airport. With its 24-hour operating permit and favourable infrastructure, the airport continues to attract international cargo operations.
Franke pointed out that geopolitical uncertainties could impact future development. The airport has been owned by Triwo since May 2023. The company specialises in developing and operating business parks and infrastructure in Germany. With Hahn, Triwo is pursuing a long-term strategy to strengthen the airport’s role as a cargo hub through modernisation and investment. (ah)
