Hänsel und Gretel taken over
WP Holding, a logistics services provider based in the German state of Saxony, is acquiring parts of the forwarding company Hänsel und Gretel, which has its headquarters in Reichenbach in the Vogtland region, with effect from 1 October 2022. 15 employees will be taken over.
The reason for the change was the withdrawal at short notice of the long-time owner of Hänsel und Gretel, Frank Goy, due to health reasons. Fortunately, a quick and amicable solution could be found to secure the future of the company and its staff.
"It was very important to me to ensure a good solution for my employees," Frank Goy explained. WP Holding, founded in 2007, has more than 1,000 employees at five locations in Germany, its own fleet of around 400 vehicles and currently manages 130,000 sqm of warehouse space. (sh)
