GSC widens Saudi network
The Saudi ports’ plans for 2030 are making progress. Over the last years, the Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has been able to attract seven new shipping line services to strengthen their ports' connectivity.
GSC is one of them - a direct weekly service connecting China with the Gulf area in the Middle East and run by Pacific International Lines (PIL). Due to GCS, two new ports, Shanghai and Singapore, can now be reached via King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, which can handle 105 million t of freight per annum. (sh)
