Grundhöfer boosting fresh logistics
Grundhöfer, a fresh-produce wholesaler based in Frankfurt, relies on ‘DisponentGo’ by Weber data service to manage its fresh logistics.
On-site training sessions on regular check-up days help staff optimise the use of the dispatching software for order allocation, tariffs and invoicing. With ‘DisponentGo’ four dispatchers process up to 300 orders daily, most of which are automatically assigned to routes.
Approximately 85% of shipments are delivered using the company’s own fleet of 25 vehicles. By replacing its Excel-based system, Grundhöfer has achieved full process control. The software investment should be amortised in just 18 months. The firm’s other plans concern CO₂ tracking per pallet and AI-assisted route optimisation. (js)
