Gruber Logistics extends network
In this period of economic contraction, Gruber Logistics continues to implement its strategy, which, according to Marcello Corazzola, CEO and member of the board, aims to extend the company’s network in Italy, ensure social sustainability and pursue digitisation.
At the beginning of 2021, Gruber Logistics opened first warehouse in Corteolona and Genzone (PV). The new hub includes an area of 50,000 sqm to be used for integrated logistics services. The warehouse is located south of Milan in a strategic position for north-south connections.
It is one of the warehouses through which Gruber Logistics will test deep learning solutions and predictive analyses aimed at supporting its customers’ production planning.
To date, a first phase of collection and analysis of big data is underway, which will be followed up this year and in the first half of 2022 by field testing of the solutions that have emerged. (sh)
