Groupage network overhauled
Sim Cargo has reorganised its general cargo network. Most importantly, it has reduced the number of transhipment points (TSPs) and added a northern and southern hub. The aim was to increase transport capacity utilisation, shorten transit times and improve the quality of service.
Specifically, the company cut the number of transhipment points in Germany from 20 to 12 and supplemented TSPs in Austria, Spain, and the Netherlands.
Sim Cargo says that the new regional hub structures will enable it to expand its service portfolio and offer its system partners additional, competitive services. The network has around 260 medium-sized system partners. (ben)
